36 Days of type
For the 6th edition of the global movement "36 Days of Type," my goal was to combine two of the greatest inspirations in my daily life: music and 3D art. The challenge involved transforming each letter of the alphabet into a musical instrument, starting with the initial letter of its name. From the very beginning, I discovered the incredible potential of each letter to sustain, structure, embrace, and support various elements that contribute to its unique sound. These elements include strings, keys, masts, sound boxes, and cavities that allow the passage of air.
While I don't expect all of my A-Z letters to produce actual sound that can be modulated and played with musicality, I am delighted to realize that at their core, each letter in our Western alphabet was created to visually represent sounds that travel and, much like music, communicate the world to us.
