Escape Festival Brand Identity

‘Escape’ is a new Festival based in the Somerset hills, UK. The festival is looking for a modern brand identity to generate interest before their launch in late summer. The client is looking to have a brand and set of icons they can use in the initial marketing materials for the festival representing; music, food, culture and camping. A strong and modern identity was required using bright 'popping' colours. 

With this brief I started by creating an illustration 'artwork' poster to use as the main focal point of the campaign. I used simple and bright linework as I wanted something that stood out and marked the festival as unique. From this illustration a pattern was formed which I used as the basis for the festival branding. For the icons I reflected the linework patterns and kept them simple and clean and did the same for the logo, replicating the duplication on the A's that was in the original artwork. A bright and playful colour scheme was utilised throughout to grab the attention of passers by and would be festival-goers.
