Schnitzel Platz
Schnitzel Platz is a German restaurant located in Glendale Heights, Illinois. It serves a wide variety of traditional German and European dishes, as well as, the best draft beer in the area, which is the restaurant’s signature product.
My proposition for the new logo included well-conceived elements. I started with Fraktur font, which is related to German calligraphy, then I chose the color scheme for the logo. The two main colors are brown and golden yellow. The dark brown is a reference to the wooden interior of the restaurant and the golden yellow, added to white, is the color of beer. In addition, a symbol of beer is also visible in the logo.
Every year Schnitzel Platz offers a common celebration of Oktoberfest and my proposal for the new logo includes the layout for a specialty menu. This four-page menu with a brown leather cover consists of seven sections, with particular attention to the choice of beer on the first page.
