Lance Wolf (Concept Artist, Illustrator) presents the Shield City Sector A-1764. This in-depth look covers the design of the hermetically sealed city. Self-powered and self-sufficient, it is one of hundreds of such cities seen in the story Magnesium Bow.
This video includes a time lapse of the construction of the maquette which is used to visualize and test forms and ideas
without incurring the expense and effort of producing a full-scale piece.

The maquette model is fabricated through the processes of scratch building and kitbashing.
The model is primarily made from cardboard and acid-free black core mat board, various model parts and broken down toy parts.
The model measures 17-1/2” wide, 17-1/2” long and 12” tall.
Graphics generated in Photoshop CS5 to produce paper decal print-outs for the physical model / Marquette.
