Student Project

Sarajevo Film Festival is an annual event that started immediately after the Bosnian Civil War of the 1990s. Its purpose is the celebration of life, creativity, and the human spirit.

The scene in the poster is a representation of one of the most iconic scenes in Sarajevo: the wooden water fountain at the Old Bazaar which was built in the 15th century by the Ottoman Empire. This tourist spot has never been used for the poster even though it is famous not only for its history but also for the multitude of pigeons that gather around for water and food.

I chose to create a watercolor pattern to incorporate into the image because, for me, watercolor also represents beauty and elegance.
