Make Clowning Great Again

The snacks provider Kims in Norway have teamed up with creative agency Pol, to end Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns.
The goal is to stop all killer clowns from frightening kids, and return to being funny again.

The campaign started with an invitation on Facebook, to an extraordinary meeting in the Killerclown Association. The meeting took place on a secret location, and Kims were present at the meeting and broadcasted a live speech from a real clown.

The “Any Given Funday” speech ended up as a 2 minute TVC  that aired primetime on the biggest talkshow on national TV in Norway.

« We can no longer sit by and watch clowns getting their reputation and livelihood destroyed. Killer clowns are ruining for serious clowns that just wants to spread joy and happiness. Coulrophobia is spreading fast and serious measures needs to be taken. In Norway a number of primary schools have banned children from wearing clown costumes and one of the countrys major toy stores has stopped selling clowning gear. Even the Norwegian police has issued a warning against wearing costumes and masks that can scare other citizens”.

Coulrophobia can most commonly be found among children but teenagers and adults can also get severe symptoms. According to experts as many as one in seven can experience symptoms as a result of the diagnosis.
With this campaign KiMs is aiming at the root of the problem by targeting the killer clowns with a direct and simple message: Go back to being funny again, amuse and entertain, pull a few flowers out of your hat, if that´s what it takes.

For the love of good.
