American architect Daniel Libeskind recalls German-Jewish history for the design of the Berlin Jewish museum. He uses the voids to address the physical emptiness that resulted from the expulsion, destruction, and annihilation of Jewish life during the Holocaust. He wanted to make this loss visible and tangible through architecture.
