From Kacang Puteh To Popcorn

This is a unique ‘Coffee-table’ book based on the topic Singapore food. I chose Kacang Puteh as my subject as it is an almost lost tradition in Singapore and it bring back nostagia and memories. Kacang is 'nut' in Malay and Puteh means 'white'. You can expect an the array of snacks on display. These kacang putihs were sold in conical shaped papers. One just need to roll up papers (usually old telephone directories) into a cone and fill it with the nuts. The contents of the book includes the types of nuts, preparation of the nuts, a short interview with the Kacang Puteh man and where can such stall be found in Singapore. Using appropriate typefaces to create the layout of the content to provide the 'look and feel' of the publication.
