Nearly half of all adults in the UK are on prescription drugs, a total of 48%. 1.1 million prescriptions were dispensed in 2016, a 47 % rise in the last decade. 

Nearly 24 million opioids were prescribed in 2017. With the increase of prescriptions of these highly addictive drugs, it is not a surprise that drug addiction and abuse is on the rise.

I propose an awareness campaign exploring how we can raise awareness of Prescription Drug Addiction. The hidden element of the pills embedded in everyday activities reflects how it is normalised and overlooked by the addict, friends and family.
