Quick Production
I did this project to create a visual representation for a pastor's new sermon series. The series was about couples and the wisdom it takes to maintain them. The idea I had started with a couple in their marital bliss which switches to negative distance between the two of them while they work through conflict. This same idea would not only have to be created in a cinematic style video, but also in a poster.
The first non actor couple we recruited didn't work out, but a nice and enthusiastic couple from the church was willing to get involved. So after I did alittle pre-production work we decided to shoot that coming weekend. The production took one day of filming, which involved myself directing the actors, maintaining the camera with the changing lighting environments, and choosing the locations. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
The improv style i did was to get a more natural feel to how the actors interact, and taking out vocal dialog helped to streamline things. There were some mistakes I made with certain shots, but I did my best to fix them in post. Post production didn't take long, about a few hours, cause I already had the song and storyboard laid out so editing went relatively fast.
