A Haunted House
When creating illustrations for Virginia Woolf’s short story “A Haunted House”, I drew on the juxtaposition of the real and the ghost characters in the story and made separate images in watercolour and drypoint for each illustration, which were then layered in Photoshop. The colour scheme of the illustration gradually lightens up to reflect the changing mood of the story, ending on a bright note.
