Violins of Hope Print and Digital Campaign

Violins of Hope

Violins of Hope is a community-wide alliance composed of the Birmingham Jewish Federation, The Birmingham Holocaust Education Center, the UAB Institute for Human Rights, the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, and ABC 33/40, along with corporate donors and generous individuals. This collaboration of supporters hosted an event showcasing the lovingly restored Violins of Hope which the Jewish musicians were forced to play amidst the atrocities of the Holocaust.

In order to provide information on the Violins of Hope organization, founders, and event tickets, I created a mobile responsive website on the SquareSpace platform. I was able to highlight sponsors with links to their respective websites and kept the site refreshed with new videos and news articles.
I created a 48-page program booklet for Violins of Hope’s main event at the Alys Stephens Center. I carried the branding elements from the website to create a sense of cohesion, highlighting the founder, survivor stories, featured violins, calendar of event for the week, performers and sponsors. The full color 8x10” booklet was saddle-stitched on 80lb coated paper with a 100lb cover.

The 30x36” posters were displayed at the event entrance and were designed to highlight the level of sponsorships in an organized grid.
The 4x6” postcard was designed to emphasize the mood of remembrance and hope.
