I made a poster informing students and staff at Western Technical College of the effects single use plastics have on our oceans.

I wanted to give off the feel of water, so I let almost everything be transparent to some extent. 

The man is holding a reusable bottle and it is meant to be floating him to the surface of the ocean, away from the destruction of his plastic bottles (yes, there are 156 there).

I made the illustration of the turtle to evoke more intense emotions, hoping someone would take my poster seriously. I want people to know that we are endangering creatures.

I made sure to cite my sources so viewers knew I was being factual.

I made the illustrations using a Wacom tablet.
