A question about design direction, a road we found after searching.
Lost is often interpreted as a self-precipitation, the confusing choices of directions, the unique experience of reverse operation. Turning the complicated context into own behavior, interlace to each other, discuss, argue, persuade, compromise, help each other to establish countless ideas and combine all the experiences together. To meet on the peak and the self-consciousness will rise above the directions and choices.

We are the student design team of Department of Visual Communication Design, Shu-Te University. Beginning with the concept “A question about design direction, a road we found after searching,“ we develop a serial of visual recognition system for our work, including posters, special booklets, peripheral products, motion graphics, and the exhibition design of the event venue.

Created for a design competition, this poster represents design as a path that forms through the searching for and unearthing of ideas. Corresponding to this concept, segments of the poster are coated with a silvery substance which can be scratched off; the layer underneath reveals further details about the structure of the design exhibition. The poster offers a contemporary interpretation of elements found in traditional Chinese landscapes, such as mountains, forests and a sea of clouds. An overlapping of lines at the mountain summits symbolises special achievements in design.
