Project: Puzzle design using CAD program Rhinoceros

Impulso consists on a puzzle  that functions based on natural forces that provoke movement, the concept is inspired by motion, gravity, and impulse. It is a game that is built using different curve pieces  which can take different configurations, and depending on these a small ball that is thrown from a starting point can take different velocities by following the path determined by the user. Since the puzzle contains little pieces it is not designed for kids under 5 years old, it is directed for people age: +8 years.

The objective is to ignite curiosity about simple logic and to promote foresight during the building process according to the diversity of outcomes. The different arrangements have the potential to provide the user with a satisfying feeling, in order that they will like to continue assembling it in different ways. More than 258 billions of track shapes are possible!
The physical product was made using 1/8" thick plywood  which was lasercut into the shapes and later assembled in layers.
