'The Space Between Here and There' is the first monograph on artist Ariel Reichman, documenting work over a period of ten years and is the result of a close collaboration between the artist and Gymnasium. The book features a curated flow of installation, film, performance, photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture, together with commissioned essays by Bettina Steinbrügge, Hito Steyerl, and Raphael Zagury-Orly. The book, published by Distanz, celebrates Reichman's multilayered, sensitive, empathetic and often physical work. Avoiding chronology, the works are instead arranged in an organic flow guiding the reader through the research and artistic practice of the artist. Different papers and finishes are used to document and interpret the various mediums and create an intimate and sensitive experience for the reader.
