MODAAFRICA is a project developed from scratch by fashion designer Sofia Vilarinho and myself at the end of 2014 to air it on July 2015.
The aim was to create a dynamic entity that represented not only an event, a sustainable fashion week in Lisbon, but also the idea of a design and fashion production that champions eco balance and ethics.
Geographically, the whole concept was rooted in Africa and its relationships with Europe through Portugal. The work of fashion designers from Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, Egypt, Marrocos, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Portugal was featured in the event.
My work spread through all the areas related with design, identity and communication such as branding, production, visual concepts, decoration, digital and physical marketing. I was involved only on this first edition.
