I visited Portland's Lan Su Garden, a classical Chinese scholar's garden located in the heart of Chinatown. Gorgeous red lanterns left over from the previous weekend's New Year's celebration still adorned the buildings. A light rain was falling when I arrived, but within 30 minutes the sun broke through the clouds and brought out some lovely jewel tones.
