UX Research, UX/UI Design, Branding – Edmonds CC

Client: Edmonds Community College (EdCC)

Role: UX research, art direction and design, information architecture

Overview: Edmonds Community College was using an outdated logo from the 80s and needed a new brand identity to better represent the college. After the rebrand, the project extended to design and front-end development for three college websites...in three months!

Solution: A complete overhaul of EdCC's brand began with focus groups, surveys, and committee meetings. The research helped determine that the college was looking for a more modern, academic, and sophisticated look and feel.

A new "trident" mark was designed to preserve brand equity and help tie all of the pieces together including an athletic logo, sub-brand logo, mascot, and brand guidelines. In the end, the clients were very appreciative and rehired us for their website project. My role for that portion of the project included information architecture, sitemap, and art direction for EdCC's main marketing website, student website, and employee intranet.
