Ages Of Us : UK
Ages Of Us is an interest in the process of ageing, the effects of that unstoppable process on our physical being and how our attitudes, conscience, hope, aspirations and desires change as we go through the stages of life.
The project started witha trip around California in 2015 and after several successful exhibitions and the development of a collaboration with Dave Martin of the Centre For Policy on Ageing and started again in the UK. This started with a shoot in the Turner Contemporary in Margate, a local leisure centre and Ramsgate and the Margate Harbour Arm. Since then we’ve done a short tour of West Yorkshire and a shoot at Kent University as part of an event looking at creative exploration if ageing across our life course. All of this has been a introduction to what we hope to be a much wider and more comprehensive tour of the UK exploring the vast array of ethnicities, nationalities, classes and communities and attitudes to ageing found in the UK.
