The ruins of Trebenna lie on a small hill and are surrounded by the remains of an early Byzantine wall. Within the walled area many inscriptions and sarcophagi are to be found.

Trebenna isn't mentioned by any ancient author and its name is only known through coins and inscriptions. The name is mentioned for the first time in history on the Stadiasmus Patarensis, a Roman milestone excavated at Patara. The inscription on the milestone was made during the reign of Claudius and is dated to 45/46 AD.

When I visited the area I found no guide to this forgotten city so I decided to make my own and leave it at the JoSiTo guest house at the bottom of the mountains for the next explore. But I also decided to only make one. No copy. No printed version. Only the hand drawn and hand written one.
