These are sketchbook drawings done for a book about my family. It's difficult to get siblings from all over California and beyond to sit down for even a moment while you interview and draw them, so I decided to create them myself using their clothing and objects that I think represent them and the things that interest them, then draw from the people I'd created. All done in pen and ink; this is my family.
