The aim of this project is to design a concert hall for 2000 people in the city center of Tokyo, in Minato district. Because Tokyo is suceptible to earthquakes, the main focus of my project is to provide a solution that can solve the problem of earthquakes, acoustics, and climate. The idea of the project is to create a 2m wide buer zone between the concert hall and the outside. This allows the concert hall to be “decoupled” from the outside, so that sound, earthquakes, and the weather from the outside is “dampened” by the time it reaches the concert hall.
