Audix Microphones

This range of work was done from 2016 to 2017 as a Lead Designer with Pivot Group for the local Portland microphone manufacturer Audix. Pivot Group was challenged to refresh the brand image and messaging to attract new attention from musical artists and producers. At the time the standard fare for most advertising of sound technology in trade magazines seemed to appeal more to the technical sound engineers than the artists and was quite conservative with dramatic lighting of product against dark backgrounds. Not a lot of energy or color movement that would suggest creative expression. I was fortunate to be able to collaborate with Rachel Getsinger at Pivot Group to art direct and create this whole new image campaign for Audix.

Roles: art direction & style development with associate Rachel Getsinger, ad concept development with Rachel Getsinger, hand lettering, texture creation, 3D product modelling and rendering. Copy, headlines and campaign direction by Monica Santi with assistance from Ian Doescher (copy writer).
3D model of the flagship D6 microphone. It has such a unique, iconic look that i couldn't resist the urge to recreate and render a product revolve for advertising use. Foundry Modo was used to model and render this image.
