"His Dark Materials" - visual development project
I enjoy to share with you my personal visual development project for animation feature film based on the inspirational fantasy trilogy of Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials ". The trilogy takes place across the multiverse, moving between many parallel worlds, where science and magic are closely connected.
Lyra Belacqua is the main heroine of the story, brave and sprightful girl. She has an alethiometer (comes from the Greek "aletheia"-truth, and "meter"-measure). It is a compass-like device that is used to show the truth with the help of special symbols.
In this fantasy world every person has a physical incarnation of his/her soul in the form of an animal (so-called daemon) Daemons consist of special Dust. Pantalaimon is the daemon of Lyra

Ruta Skadi - the queen of the Lake Lubana clan of witches
Iofur Raknison - the king of pancerbjorns (armoured bears)
