A personal manifesto

My manifesto tells the narrative of a need to be completely in control while at the same time realising the necessity of being open
to where ever the process may take me. I recognise my ultimate inability to determine the exact path and outcome  of each challenge taken up, as well as realise the stumbling block such a need for control will be to both my creative and personal growth. So instead, I make a conscious choice every day to embrace both the bad and good of the process; to experiment; to trip
and fall; and hopefully, to every now and then, design and make something that makes you stop.

The vessels have a clear handmade, unfinished look to portray the imperfections of the process. Each vessel looks different and evokes a different feeling when cupped in your hands. These physical qualities reflect the specific part of the manifesto that is engraved underneath it’s base.
