SCARRED
This amazing project is the brainchild of Angie Batis Durrant, Adi Koen and Nicola Cooper, and I am so proud to have been a part of it.
The project focuses on sixteen different women, each of whom have been through a traumatic experience that left them scarred.
Their scars are worn as badges of honour, and their experiences are to be celebrated.
Angie and her team styled and shot a beautiful photograph of each person, and then asked fourteen South African illustrators to create a type of armour or cladding for each person.
I was given the photographs of Sam and Alice, and their stories were so different from each other, but both so inspiring.
