Derived from decorative materials of the temple, traditional lacquer or Vietnamese paint (Son ta) was brought into L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de L'Indochine (Indochina Fine Art College) and became the foundation for the development of lacquer painting techniques. Vietnamese traditional lacquer, using natural and indigenous materials such as eggshell, wood, sliver leaf, gold leaf,...which has created absolutely unique and delicate products. Traditional lacquer achieved all standards about stiffness, stability, aesthetic by its unique advances.
