I collaborated with a component engineer to bring a user benefit to an otherwise mundane bicycle component. We developed a carbon fiber clip mechanism that keeps the faceplate assembled to the stem body and the handlebars in place while the mechanic is torquing the faceplate bolts down. Acted as lead designer and developed tooling ready 3D geometry in Pro/Engineer. This product is now patented.
