The Untold Stories

“The Untold Stories” a series of posters project that got inspirited by the true stories and hardship experiences of “Fiona” and “Jennifer”, two Aboriginal girls from the Stolen Generation. Their stories appeared on page 52 and 129 of “Bringing Them Home” Report.

The posters re-telling their stories by reflected the trauma and loss that affected Fiona and Jennifer’s life. The posters followed an abstract style with the used of shapes that symbolized the characters and meanings.

Disclaim: This “The Untold Stories” was created within a learning process that considered Indigenous perspectives on Sovereignty, Decolonisation and Country in the context of the subject 87831 VC Design Studio: Visual Communication Design and Emergent Practices in Faculty of Design Architecture and Built Environment (DAB) University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Spring 2018. This “The Untold Stories” is part of a student learning experience and is not a professional design outcome. According to the intent of the subject the project should be understood within an educational context. The designs can be shared by the student to demonstrate the ongoing learning experience.
