LIMITED EDITION BOOK COVER DESIGN FOR DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN & DR. JEKYLL & MR.HYDE
The fictive publisher Modern Classics is publishing a book series consisting of literary history's most terrifying characters. These three classic stories all have a common thread: to explore the human psyche – a topic that was very much in vogue during the century when these books were published. To reflect the book's theme, I have been inspired by the famous Rorschach/Inkblot test, a personality test which was used in the early 1900's to identify mental disorders.
Just like Hermann Rorschach original intent with the test, the idea is that the reader of these books will project material from his or her own subconsciousness and discover personal images and figures in each cover.
