Final design for my new Ann Arbor flag.

Here is my final design for the new Ann Arbor flag. It is a very simple and clean design that is noticeable. I tried to keep it close to the current flag by using similar symbols and colors to keep it true to its... roots. First the nickname of Ann Arbor is "Tree City," hence the main focal point of the flag, which is a tree. The colors picked for the original flag, I believe, derived from the University of Michigan, as there is not much there that's not connected to the university. As for the meaning for the colors, Yellow (or maize) is for the stars in the night, the grain in the field, and the moon in the wain; Blue is for the water, the sky, and the blossoms. I think that the flag is easily recognizable from far away and can be used on many things that people would be proud to have.
