Question 2: In a short paragraph, tell us about a piece of advertising that you like and why you like it.

I like this poster because it transcends traditional advertising.  It is critical of the medium but uniquely utilises it for the benefit of the message.  It places socially ignored issues in the place of socially constructed issues and the outcome is all the better for it.

Question 3: In a short paragraph, tell us about a piece of advertising that you don't like and why you don't like it.

Advertising, like any form of mass communication, should respect, educate and inform it's audience.  This ad treats it's audience like idiots, superseding an already unobtainable image of beauty with a digitisation that people will think is the new standard.  It's the blatant comparison I hate the most, the original image is already touched! Why take it one step further?
Question 4: Using black pen and paper only - no computer layouts - create an ad for the following brief.

Product: Nescafe, extra strong coffee blend.

Goal: Get more people to drink it.

Proposition: The strongest coffee around.
Question 5: Using black pen and paper only - no computer layouts - create an ad for the following brief.

Product: Purina dogfood

Goal: Get the pet owners to buy it for their dogs.

Proposition: For a stronger dog.
