I took a class called Poetry of Rock my senior year of high school wherein I was tasked with writing various songs. At the same time I was doing some independent learning on generating text with Markov Chains. The result was me turning in a fairly unorthodox set of songs for my final writing assignment.

To create these I wrote a web scraper in Python to get the text of all an artists lyrics off the internet. I then processed them in a different Python script and attempted to generate songs in their style.

The unintended consequence of this was me getting my school's wifi banned from 123Lyrics for the rest of the year after my scraper was a little too eager, and some interesting song lyrics.
