In The Studio - Vice Magazine
Week 2
In week 2 we got to experiment in the studio with phase one cameras, backdrops and lighting. In our groups we took turns being the photographer, assistant and model. We now have to discuss ideas for the vice magazine covers.
Vice Research
Vice was founded in 1994 in Montreal, the founders later launched Vice Media which involves content from the magazines and new content published on their website. Vice focuses on topics like culture and the arts. Vice pushes boundaries and conventions from presenting them in a manner of provocative ways like photography etc.
Alex Miller (Creative Director)
Alex Miller studied at Leeds University where he received his masters degree in 20th century literature. He started working for Vice in 2008 as their online editor. Miller afterwards worked his way up to becoming Vice's executive creative director.
