Screen printing on pentelikon white Greek marble and black metal sheets for the signage of Documenta 14, the fourteenth edition of the art exhibition Documenta and took place in 2017 in both Kassel, Germany, its traditional home, and Athens, Greece.
"For the production of the “marbles” we collaborated
closely with a local and traditional silk screen workshop,
to turn each marble block into an individual object.
The marble bars were meant to serve as a memorable
link to the artists and their works, and their material
presence intentionally used to tempt people into
removing them from the exhibitions as a nod to the
ongoing nature of process and continuum.
The final goal was that at the end of the exhibitions
all marble pieces had gone missing, traveling back
with visitors across the globe."
