Puppy Mills - Personal Project/Animal Activism

This campaign highlights the very fixable problem of Puppy Mills.  It is a crime that this is allowed to continue.  All lawmakers have to do is sign a bill making them all illegal. Although puppy mills number in the thousands across the United States alone (please read my "Protest" Poem which provides information in poem form), I chose to use the Amish people in my illustration. The Amish are somewhat protected by the U.S.D.A. because they are "farmers."  They also run some of the cruelest puppy mills.

With four to five million dogs and cats (yes there are kitten mills also) being euthanized yearly in the United States, we have to put an end to breeding animals as commodities for profit.  Every time someone buys a dog that is one more dog that will not make it out of a shelter.

Animals are living, breathing, sentient beings who may not speak like us but have emotions, personalities, love for their babies, and above all feel pain just like us.
