800score Interactive Promotion

When I was freelancing as a multimedia designer I did work for a GMAT preparation company called 800score.com.  The owner was looking for an interactive experience to help promotion the product on the site.  At the time Adobe Flash how just added alpha channel support for alpha for video and embedded triggers within video playback, both of which were made use of in this project.
Still for the project
I managed all aspects of the video shoot including lighting and camera work using a green screen, direction, post production, and editing.

I also did the production sound which was kind of crummy due the poor quality of the camera mounted mic I was provided and the room acoustic, did the best I could but not ideal.  In my defense I had emphasized the importance of good sound equipment prior to the shoot and requested a lavalier or shotgun mic, but sound recording tends to be something that those first entering film production often overlook, which is unfortunate as quality sound makes all the difference and is not easily remedied in post.
Introduction
I then edited the video and imported it into my project, using embedded video triggers to keep the animated playback in sync.  From there I completed the interactive elements and motion graphics to align with the video.
Section on math and verbal training
Section on exam preparation
Section on written essay support
This project was completed in 2005 and is still used on the 800score.com site.  Though GMAT preparation may not be the 'sexiest' of subjects I think the promotion turned out well, particularly the video integration which definitely improved engagement of material that alone would have been a little dry.

It was also fun to use some of my production film training and combining with digital graphics, something I wish I had an opportunity to do more often.
