The lumen (symbol: lm) is the SI derived unit of luminous flux, a measure of the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source.

The idea behind this design is to represent the light spectrum in its entirety. The first element is white, base of the whole design, because white fully reflects and scatters all the visible wavelengths of light. The second element to emphasize this idea is to underline some element with color-shifting gradients: on paper with the use of clear holographic foils, on screen with dynamic gradients.
