The project consist in designing a visual book, an object that give the reader a “full reading experience”. The book design is based on the text “La nebbiosa”, a black novel set in the city of Milan that talks about the night raids of five “teddy boys”.
I work on a graphic solution able to convey the feeling of confusion and disorientation, the same experienced by the five protagonists of the story, a fog that is not only real and objective but also metaphorical.
The result is a graphic solution that recreate the “fog effect” both inside the pages and outside in a shadow effect between the covers.
The book has been entirely hand-bound by Cristina Balbiano d'Aramengo (Professione Libro)
