Working as the art director for the Daily Sundial newspaper at CSU Northridge, this was the front page cover I designed for our Green Issue from spring 2012. The issue focused on 'green' ideas ranging from topics on sustainability, recycling, global warming, and environment awareness. The cover illustrates new ideas on sustainability, as well as symbolizing the idea that man and nature can co-exist in harmony. To help push the concept, the headline typography is very organic and hand-made by myself.

 

This cover has also earned me a first place national award from the 2012 Associated Collegiate Press Design of the Year Awards for Newsmagazine/Special Section Cover.
