Over a period of 6 weeks I assembled three memorials, each one a representation of a previous lover. With flowers, tissue paper, twigs, and a personal letter to each man submerged in water, I let them decay over time. Through passing weeks, each one transformed from something vividly colorful to mold.
I dreamt them in permanency and awoke to a temporary reality. They were beautiful and equally deteriorating, made to be enjoyed and remembered, born to die.
