Concept:

From the concept Growth, The Fringe is where ideas and creativity can be nurtured, grown and connected to other creative activity. Showcasing new, young and existing creative solutions within our ever-expanding creative realm.
‘Get Chirping’ Poster Campaign All about simplicity, and getting a clear communication that people must come to ‘Nest Talks’ and get connecting and communicating.

The posters are minimalistic to be visually appealing. There are four different birds between two different posters, all the birds are of local origin and have a specific quality which links to the concept for Nest Talks.

The Sallow: Show connectivity, as they are a bird, which flocks together.

The Pigeon: Show the aspect of how the Nest Talks are a home for creativity, as this is a bird which al- ways finds it’s way to the same i left/grew up at.
The Robin: Stands for the intelligence and growth of Nest Talks as this a bird which is early to rise.

The Honey-sucker: Stands for the nurturing and individual brilliance that would be those who come join at the Nest Talks.
This is ‘The Hunt’, an interactive connective branding point within The Fugard.

The  ‘mystery egg’ hidden in The Fugard at the time of the talks, will contain a certain letter of one of the speakers’ names from the day. Find each letter, complete the name to win the prize: an hour with the speaker of the month.
This is to be a conceptual contact point to, making the talks more personal and interactive, replicating birds chirping on a telephone wire.

This can be executed in ‘reverse graffiti’, where you clean an image into a dirty wall.
The in-house animation shows the concept and what the talks are all about. A brief stop-frame animation with images of growth, pipes, words and imagery coming together connected and slowly build into the Nest Talks Logo and introduces the speaker of the month.
This project resulted in ‘Zade Minty’ and The Fringe Talks briefing me to design and advanced Corporate Identity.
