Illustrations for the children's book "Under the Surface" from 2017 by the three brothers Theis, Emil & Alfred Midé Erichsen. The book tells stories about the underwaterworld the brothers explored during their travels around the world in the sailingboat Havana, but also about their early chilhood experiences under the surface. The book is meant to inspire children to explore the world at sea through diving and snorkling, which is why i also did som step-by-step drawings, so the children can try for themselves.
The three brothers happen to be my cousins, and so i actually went on the trip myself, which is why this project was a lot of fun to all of us. I hope you enjoyed our world under the surface.
