ASPCA Guerilla Ad Campaign

This is an ad campaign for the ASPCA to raise awareness of animal abuse and neglect using guerilla campaigning tactics. The challenge is to have the APSCA reach out to people in a new and more provocative way, as well as to encourage people to make donations to the ASPCA. In this campaign, the idea is to put an animal cage on a busy urban sidewalk or street corner. The cage is filthy, rusty and disgusting, making it obvious it is unfit for any animal to live in. Upon walking by, people are invited to look at and investigate the inhumane cage many animals are subjected to living in. A banner runs along the outside of the cage asking people, "How would you like this to be your home?," along with additional information and numbers about animal abuse and neglect. The banner also includes a QR code and are invited to scan it with their smartphones, which then takes them to a microsite. Here the passerbys can learn more about the ASPCA, the problem and solution of animal abuse and neglect, and how they can help. They can also make donations to the organization directly from their smartphones via a donation button on the site.
