Smithsonian NASM - Moving Beyond Earth Interactives

Operand created numerous interactive experieces for the for the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum,
including a six-person multitouch table activity called Design It, in which each person works to design their own space shuttle module. Once completed, their module is then launched and added to a collective space station in the middle of the table. Results are emailed and sharable via social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

In addition to the Design It touchtable, Operand created several other experiences for this exhibit. Spaceflight Academy is a 15-person multiple choice trivia game that surrounds the central stage within the exhibit. Space For You asks children a series of questions about their favorite things and suggests jobs in the space program that might interest them and emails them a link to an ID Badge they can print out. Flight Director gives visitors a peek at what it's like inside mission control during a launch.
