Disconnected London

A double A0 poster designed for London Design Festival, an exhibition in association with Signal Noise. ‘Disconnected London’ As we become a more connected city, are we becoming less connected to each other? In March 2016, the government announced a ‘Challenge on Dementia 2020’ which identified that 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia in the UK. The future of our mental health is an important issue for all Londoners and raises questions about the type of society we wish to age in. This piece focuses on dementia and the ageing population analysing social and healthcare data to map the correlations between dementia, social deprivation and poverty indexes in each of the boroughs. This data is then used to speculate on dementia prevalence across the London boroughs in 2030, where we see a dramatic rise in people living over 80 years of age.
