WSU Smart Grid Research | August 2015

The fall issue of Washington State Magazine contained a feature story on researchers at WSU who are working on ways to protect the national electrical grid from natural disasters and hackers.  The Video Services office was commissioned to create a series of videos to accompany the magazine story, and I was responsible for the majority of the production work.  I decided to use motion graphics to illustrate some of the research being done and other concepts discussed.

I used a combination of icons from the Noun Project library and a handful of handdrawn elements and composited objects to create the graphics used in this project.  All graphics were developed using Adobe Photoshop, and then subtly animated using Premiere Pro.
