A kit for the unexpected, Under Prepared is meant for females who unexpectedly get their period. I was assigned a project to create made up object and it's packaging.  With the "Free the Tampons" campaign, I became inspired and created a kit that holds a pair of underwear, pad, and tampon. Sizes are color coded and range from small to large. 

I wanted to move away from the glitter and flowers and the stigma of getting period. Instead I wanted to use create an abstract pattern inspired by Memphis Design because it is a weird time and it's nothing to be ashamed of. 

My name is Kaitlyn Church and I study graphic design and user experience at Western Washington University.  I am a Pacific Northwest transplant from the East Coast, here to enjoy some awesome scenery and not so great pizza. I am interested in branding, illustration, typography and packaging.  I draw inspiration from people in my surroundings.
