Personal Garden
Garden is something that is known from the dawn of civilisation. Is it a desire to control nature? Or is it inescapable longing for lost paradise - dream of Eden Garden - and desire to reconnect with nature in idealistic harmony?
The origin of word garden stems from the enclosure, enclosed space. That is the attempt to replicate some ideal nature within the patch of land, which then requires protection and care to sustain its conditions. The ideal means a certain process of selection of species and objects that should remain on this patch of land, which is effectively means that some undesirable species of flora and fauna might need to be eliminated.
How far are we going to go in idealisation?
One of the great inspiration for the project was the dystopian world of Blade Runner.
